DR.Hassan Noaman, President of Sohag University confirmed the inclusion of Sohag University among 28 Egyptian universities in the Times World Classification of Higher Education Institutions for the year 2024 AD, according to the results of the classification announced by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which classified 1,904 universities from 108 countries around the world.
DR.Hassan Noaman, President of Sohag University confirmed the inclusion of Sohag University among 28 Egyptian universities in the Times World Classification of Higher Education Institutions for the year 2024 AD, according to the results of the classification announced by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which classified 1,904 universities from 108 countries around the world.
He added that according to the results of the Times classification, the university ranked (1201 – 1500), indicating that the Times classification of higher education institutions depends in its evaluation on 5 main areas, which are: teaching (learning environment) 30%, volume or rate of research productivity, income. Research and reputation 30%, citations (research impact) 30%, international cooperation 7.5%, application in industry (knowledge transfer) 2.5%, through 13 performance indicators related to teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer and international questionnaires, which provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons between Universities.
