The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of the “Shanghai” classification for scientific specializations for the year 2023, which included the best 500 universities in the world, where 28 Egyptian universities were included in this year’s classification, and Sohag University ranked (301-400) in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. And ranked (401-500) in the field of mathematical sciences.
In the context of this; Dr. Hassan Noman, President of Sohag University, explained that this achievement came as a result of the university’s keenness to meet the requirements of the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was launched in March 2023, and through the university’s research plan, which meets Egypt’s 2030 vision in the field of higher education and scientific research. He stressed the university’s support for its faculty members and young researchers in all scientific specializations, in addition to supporting research projects and providing great financial incentives for scientific publishing in international periodicals, as well as linking scientific research to meeting the needs of society and developing the environment.
