About the Department

The Department of Oriental Languages was opened at the Faculty of Arts in Sohag, which was affiliated with Assiut University in 1987. The department includes three branches, the Persian and Turkish language branches. The Department of Oriental Languages at the Faculty of Arts at Sohag University is one of the oldest departments of oriental languages in Upper Egypt universities.
