1) Academic Registration:
The Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs supervises the implementation of registration rules, preparing lists for all study contents and study schedules, distributing students to academic supervisors, and preparing decision cards for students, which are individual cards for each course, in addition to the total card for each student.
2) Academic Advising:
Each student is assigned an academic advisor, whose task is to guide the student, help him choose courses, and determine the number of hours in which he registers according to his abilities and preparations, in accordance with the rules that govern this, It helps the student to solve the problems encountered during the study, He also reviews the courses in which the student is registered in each semester until he graduates from the college.
Academic Burden
1- The student is allowed to register for (16) hours per semester, among the compulsory and optional courses.
2- A student may not register for courses that have a prerequisite until after successfully passing this prerequisite.
3- A student with a cumulative average of less than (2) is not allowed to register for more than (12) credit hours in a semester.
4- A summer semester may be held according to the students’ needs, in order to complete the level courses in the academic year.
The student is subject to the general system of the university and the college, and the rules of dismissal from the university are applied to him, as well as re-enrollment and an acceptable apology for not taking the exam, and all rules, laws and regulations regarding student discipline as stipulated in Article (123) of the Executive Regulations of the Universities Organizing Law.
The professor shall register the attendance of students at the start of each theoretical lecture in a registration prepared for this by Student Affairs, taking into account the following:
- The permissible limit for a student’s absence without an acceptable excuse is (10%) of the total hours of the course, and the professor warns the student, and notifies the Student Affairs Department in case this percentage is exceeded, and if the student misses (20%) The second and final warning issued to him in writing.
- If the student’s absence rate exceeds (25%), and his absence is without an acceptable excuse, the student is recorded with a deprived grade, and the result of failure is entered in the student’s cumulative average calculations.
- If the absence rate exceeds (25%) in more than half of the courses without an acceptable excuse, the Education and Student Affairs Committee shall dismiss the student from the college for an academic year.
