A Training Course in the field of Photojournalism in Sohag Media

The Department of Media at the faculty of Arts, Sohag University, organized a training course in the field of “Journalism Photography” for two consecutive days, Four hours per day, headed by Dr/ Fatima Al-Zahhra, Head of the Media Department, and under the patronage and supervision of Prof/Karim Mosleh Saleh, Dean of the faculty of Arts, Muhammad Tawfiq, Vice Dean for Affairs Environmental Development and Community Service, Prof/ Mahmoud Murad, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr/ Abdel Salam Mubarak, Assistant Professor and general coordinator of the course.

Prof/ Karim Mosleh Saleh confirmed that these courses come within the framework of Egypt’s 2030 vision, Digital Transformation and enriching the skills of graduate students, mastering of photojournalism and dealing with modern smart phones, which caused a great boom in society, which suggests them to the labor market, according to Egypt’s digital vision, which has become a path of realistic transformation in all fields, appreciating the efforts of Media Department.

Fatima Al-Zahra explained that the course aims to develop the skills of students of the media department, who wish to professionalize photojournalism, so the photojournalism has become an important and indispensable element in creating creative content.

The department took attention to the category of students and worked on refining their talents through the courses.

Al-Zahraa confirmed that the importance of photojournalism for what constitutes an essential element in media work and its importance in documenting official and unofficial events and occasions, pointing to the importance of journalistic training, to create value to media students and graduates who wish to practice the profession, adding journalism in particular and media in general is a science that requires study and practical applications,  to link between theoretical study and its practical applications.

In conclusion, this session was attended by trainer Fatima Hosni, with the participation of 20 male and female students.
