Contemporary nations have come to view the university as the locomotive that leads society to progress and advancement, and even considered it the house of expertise, which state and academic institutions always resort to solving incidental problems or developing future plans for national development.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In its mission, Sohag University has been keen to provide a distinguished educational service to ensure the preparation of qualified graduates to compete in the labor market at the local, regional and international levels.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Faculty of Arts in Sohag, which represents a leading center for cultural development and creativity, has prepared graduates who are scientifically and practically qualified, with the appropriate skills needed by the labor market,<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for effective participation in achieving the objectives of continuous education through their various educational programs in the level of licentiate and postgraduate studies.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Education and Student Affairs Sector:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Education and Student Affairs Sector aspires to serve students by providing a distinguished educational process and student activities capable of graduating a distinguished and successful generation that serves our dear country. The Education and Student Affairs Sector includes the following departments (General Department of Youth Care \u2013 Student Affairs Department \u2013 Graduates Department)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Duties of the Student Affairs and Education Sector<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Education and Student Affairs Sector is specialized in the following Duties:-<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1- Participation in the formulation of policy on the Affairs of study, Examinations, Education and Students at the Faculty of Arts in Sohag, following up on the implementation of the decrees of the Sohag University Council, the Council for Education and Student Affairs, and the College Council regarding students and the educational process.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2- Preparing the statistics and data to extract information and preparing periodic and annual reports on the educational process in the college.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

3- Reviewing and announcing the necessary schedules for teaching and determining the required hours for them.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4- Welcoming new students and distributing them to the various programs according to the standards approved by the college council.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5-<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Providing all student services and facilities for the completion of the educational process to the fullest.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

6- Investing the energies of the college\u2019s youth and developing their cognitive, technical, sports and scientific skills through annual plans for youth care.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

7- Providing services, documents, moral support, and following-up to graduates, which contributes to providing them with job opportunities commensurate with their academic qualifications and technical capabilities.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

8- Making a comprehensive report on performance in the educational process, evaluating this performance, obstacles, application problems, how to deal with them, how to deal with these problems, and expressing an opinion on how to improve future performance.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The sector aspires to provide educational and student services by providing a distinguished educational process and student activities capable of graduating a distinguished successful generation that serves the goals and aspirations of the community.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Serious and effective contribution to the preparation of qualified graduates equipped with scientific and cultural knowledge and diverse experiences and skills in all fields in accordance with academic standards, capable of giving, creativity and competition in the local, regional and global labor market<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
